Retail giant CR Vanguard installed YalaTech electronic shelf labels

We won China's largest ESL tender project. In July of 2021, YalaTech was selected as the supplier of Electronic Shelf Label by CR Vanguard, the number one retailer in China, a Fortune Global 500 enterprise with 95.1 billion annual sales revenue in 2019.

CR Vanguard will install YalaTech digital shelf labels in more than 500 supermarkets and convenience stores in Hong Kong.

Installation has been delayed until 2023 due to the covid-19 pandemic. From this February, our implement team began to install electronic shelf labels in more than 10 supermarkets of CR Vanguard in Hong Kong, and we completed the installation of the first batch of electronic shelf labels on March 9.

The average area of each supermarket is more than 3,000 square meters, and a single store were installed more than 20,000 pieces of ESL tag. The size is mainly 1.54inch, 2.66inch and 4.2inch, 1.54 is used in the articles of daily use area, 2.66 is used in refrigerated area, and 4.2 is mainly used in the fresh food area.

According to the feedback from one store manager of CR Vanguard supermarket, they like our electronic shelf label solution very much, which allows them to do promotion quickly. Employees can complete the promotion of more than 10,000 products within 2 hours, while it used to take them several days to complete the replacement of paper labels, which greatly saves their labor costs and improves operation efficiency.

In order to protect the ESL from being damaged by shopping carts or other external forces, we made custom rails for customers, and the rails can completely cover the ESL from the front, as shown in the two pictures below.

CR Vanguard has its own online mall, and the synchronization of online and offline prices is also very important to them. Our ESL system is connected to their ERP system, and the price changes of goods in the online mall can be automatically synchronized to the corresponding ESL tag.
